Sue Slater runs in support of New Horizons

When local Marple lady, Sue Slater retired from her full time job she decided to take up running to keep her fit and busy. She started at the Marple Park Run every Saturday. Sue enjoyed the running and being outdoors and soon built up her stamina.

It certainly paid off as Sue has run 2 half marathons and 2 10ks over the last 2 years as well as helping with 2 very lively young grandchildren.
Last year while running by the canal near her home, she came up with the idea of using her skill to raise funds for her most local and very special charity New Horizons Canal Boat for people with disabilities.
In 2015 Sue will be running the Wilmslow half marathon on 22nd March and the BUPA 10K on the 10th May to raise funds for the boat.
So what we need is as many people as possible to help support Sue.
She is hoping to raise at least £1000 and every penny raised goes directly to the charity.
New Horizons Canal Boat serves lots of groups and individuals in Marple and the surrounding area and it has a very positive impact on all that cruise on her. She is a charity that relies totally on charity donations.
This is an excellent LOCAL charity for all your readers to support so please dig deep.
