Bugsworth Community Carnival, 2016

The boats season opened with a weekend offering trips at Bugsworth Community Carnival.

Over a wet and windy weekend New Horizons was represented at the carnival offering trips along the Bugsworth Arm, with an educational commentary provided by Peter. During the weekend around 140 people, and a few dogs, took the opportunity for a cruise with us.

Manned by stalwart volunteers, braving the showers and gusty winds,  the tombola and stall for jams, chutneys and knitting did steady trade throughout both days. Popular as ever were 'Splat the Rat' and the football game, though the gusty wind hampered many aspiring David Beckham's scoring well.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped either over the weekend or in the weeks before preparing things for sale or the tombola, we couldn't do it without you.
