Marple Christmas Cracker 2013

The annual Christmas Cracker event was preceded by the arrival at top lock on Friday evening, of Father Christmas on board New Horizons.

The fund raising stall and valiant volunteers were in action again on Saturday and raised £960 on a very busy if cool day.

"Marple in Action" Donation

The "Marple in Action" group, formed to fight the building of an Asda supermarket, has wound itself up, having accomplished its aims. The accumulated funds have been divided between several local groups by ballot. This means that New Horizons received £118.67p, which is gratefully accepted.

Marple Food and Drink Festival 2013

Our hard working sales team were out in action again on bright and sunny day.

Many thanks to all who helped and all our customers today, the total raised today was £1175, the Tombola took £616 and the Shop took £559.

The raffle that was also run in conjunction with the Fair raised a net figure of £736.

An excellent effort by all concerned.
