Spring Events 2016  .

Whaley Water Weekend.

Two interesting days down on the canal at Whaley Bridge. We survived a whole gamut of weather, from rain to sunshine. The crowds seemed a little down to start with but picked up on Saturday reaching a peak by mid afternoon. Sunday saw more mixed weather and the crowds never quite materialised. Despite the weather and the small crowds our exhibits and games attracted lots of interest and  produced the following results for us.

Tombola £543
Footy £234
Splat the Rat £102

Marple Carnival.

Given a dry day there seemed to be a good number of folk visiting the park before and after the parade, as usual our games and tombola were much in demand and the produce stall did steady business all day.

We have also heard that as the WI charity they raised £500 yesterday as well.

Our grateful thanks go out to everyone who helped at either of these events and look forward to your support for the events later in the year.
